Lymphatica Medtech SA is a medical device development company, based in Ecublens (VD, Switzerland), founded in 2017 to translate the results of academic research into a commercial product, LymphoDrain. LymphoDrain is a novel implantable system designed to replace lymphatic vessel draining function in patients affected by lymphatic disorders, in particular chronic lymphedema, one of the most common side effects of successful cancer treatments.Lymphatica has currently six full time employees and its activities are focused on the production of the pre-series of devices for investigational use and on the organization of clinical validation and usability studies. R&D activities for additional products in the pipeline are also a main focus of Lymphatica. The board of directors is composed by the two founders, Marco Pisano (CEO), Valentina Triacca (COO) and Nanci Govinder (Independent board member). The management team is completed by Dr. Eduard Vidovic as Chief Medical Officer. The company is supported by advisors in business, legal, clinical and scientific affairs.After obtaining the SME Instrument Phase 2 Grant from the EU (1.8M EUR) in September 2019, Lymphatica has opened a financing round of additional 2M EUR, for which a lead investor has been already secured.
